What a suspension means
When Google suspends a Business Profile, it believes the profile may not follow the Google Business Profile guidelines. Depending on the type of action, the profile may disappear from Search and Maps, stop showing contact options, or you may lose the ability to manage it. For many businesses that means a sudden drop in calls and walk-ins.
The good news is that many suspended profiles can be reinstated once the real issue is identified and corrected. The bad news is that a rushed or incorrect appeal can be rejected, and repeated poor appeals make recovery harder.
Common causes of suspension
- Business name with extra keywords, for example adding “Best Dentist in Ahmedabad” to your real name
- Address problems: virtual offices, co-working desks, PO boxes or an address where you do not actually serve customers
- Wrong business type: showing an address when you are actually a service-area business
- Duplicate or multiple listings for the same business or location
- Categories that do not match the business
- Many edits in a short time, or edits by multiple managers
- Website or phone pointing to another business, a directory or a lead-generation page
- Restricted or high-risk categories such as locksmiths and some repair services, which receive extra scrutiny
What a strong appeal includes
Google’s reinstatement process asks you to submit an appeal and, often, supporting evidence. Strong appeals usually include documents that prove the business name and address (such as a GST certificate, shop and establishment registration or utility bill), clear photos of the permanent signboard and storefront, and a website or business email that matches the profile. We help you choose and prepare the right evidence for your situation.
Honest note: No one, including us, can guarantee reinstatement. Google makes the final decision. What we do is make sure the profile is corrected and your appeal is as clear and well-supported as possible.
